LEGENDS MEET THE FUTURE: Guam Elite Camp & Classic

The 2025 Legends Meet the Future Camp & Classic was a tremendous success! Nearly 300 young athletes came together for an unforgettable end-of-summer experience filled with learning, teamwork, and growth on and off the court.

Led by international pros Joseph Lin, Jason Brickman, and rising U.S. youth star Terry Holt III, campers trained hard and had fun developing their game. From fundamentals to advanced drills, each session blended confidence-building and skill development to inspire Guam’s next generation of players.

This year also featured the first-ever STEM in Sports pre-camp program, where campers explored the science and math behind basketball. From physics and angles to technology and data, STEM in Sports added an exciting new dimension to the camp — and will continue as a dedicated after-school program beginning in November 2025.

Together, we celebrated a week of growth, community, and inspiration — proving once again that Guam’s youth have the talent, drive, and passion to shine both on and off the court.

Joseph Lin

Joseph Lin is one of Taiwan’s most accomplished and respected basketball players — a five-time champion, former Rookie of the Year, All-League selection, assist leader, and the current point guard for the New Taipei Kings. In 2025, he and his brother Jeremy captured Taiwan’s top pro league title in a moment the media hailed as one of the year’s most emotional sports stories. Known for his humility, leadership, and ability to inspire on and off the court, Joseph brought his championship experience and proven skill to Guam Elite’s camp, and offered players a rare opportunity to learn from one of Asia’s top point guards.

JASON BRICKMAN

Jason Brickman is one of the most decorated point guards in international professional basketball, celebrated for his court vision, leadership, and unmatched passing ability. A two-time NCAA assists leader and member of the exclusive NCAA “1,000 assists club” — a milestone reached by only a handful of players in Division I history — Jason went on to star in top leagues across Europe and Asia. Known as a true floor general, he has guided teams to championships, earned All-League honors, and become a fan favorite wherever he plays. At Guam Elite’s camp, Jason shared the high-IQ playmaking, precision passing, and professional work ethic that have defined his career.

TERRY HOLT III

Terry Holt III is the #1-ranked 13-year-old point guard in the United States, quickly earning a reputation as one of the most disciplined and dynamic young talents in the game. Known for his explosive speed, sharp handles, and mature court presence, Terry has been turning heads in national youth tournaments and elite basketball circuits. His relentless work ethic and commitment to improvement set him apart from his peers. At Guam Elite’s camp, Terry showcased the skills and mindset that have made him a rising star — and inspired young players to dream big and work even harder.

Expert Coaches & Skills Training

In small-group clinics, coaches focused on fundamentals and advanced drills such as shooting, passing, dribbling, and footwork, guiding campers step by step to build confidence and technique. They also led team-based activities and conditioning sessions that reinforced game strategy, teamwork, and endurance in a supportive, energetic environment.

Key training sessions included:
• Sports Fundamentals: Focused skill clinics on the basics (shooting, passing, dribbling, etc.) that improve technique and consistency.
• Performance & Fitness: Agility ladders, plyometric drills, and strength exercises to boost speed, coordination, and overall athleticism.
• Team Strategy & Play: Small-sided scrimmages and scenario-based drills that sharpen game understanding, communication, and sportsmanship in realistic play.

Game-Changing Experience for Guam’s Rising Stars

This camp wasn’t just a one-week event—it was a full development experience. In the week leading up to the coaches’ arrival on island, registered campers had access to our STEM in Sports program as we blended basketball with learning and critical thinking designed to prepare athletes mentally and physically, laying the foundation to help each camper reach their full potential. Once our guest coaches touched down, the energy shifted into high gear with live drills, team challenges, and hands-on guidance. From the first session to the final buzzer on camp week, it was a game-changing opportunity for Guam’s youth to train, grow, and shine.
